Criminal Records Checks
WRSA takes the safety of our players very seriously. We require a copy of your police information checks on file as long as you are working with our young members. 
All WRSA Soccer directors, volunteers, or employees of the WRSA, age 18 and over, are expected to obtain a clear CRC and a Vulnerable Sector Check and provide it to WRSA. 
WRSA now offers 2 options for obtaining your certified Criminal Record Check.
 
Option 1: New Option!
WRSA is currently using Sterlingbackcheck to perform Criminal Records Checks. Sterlingbackcheck is done online and is a quick and easy way to have these checks done. In addition, police information checks cost $25.00 per check and results come back within 24 hours. The fee is covered by the individual applying for the Criminal Records Check.

1. Upon request, a WRSA member will send you an invitation to complete your criminal records check via Sterlingbackcheck.
2. Applicants will use the invitation to access Sterlingbackcheck and create their accounts.
3. After creating your account, you will begin your application.
4. You will be requested to provide personal information in order for your criminal records check to be processed.
5. Once the application has been processed, WRSA and the applicant shall receive the results of the criminal records check within 1 day.
6. The applicant must pay a $25.00 fee for this service.

Option 2:
In Brandon

1. Print and complete CRC forms online at http://police.brandon.ca/images/pdf/criminal-record-check.pdf  or obtain one at the Brandon Police Station.
2. Take completed forms to the Brandon Police station for processing. You must bring 2 pieces of government issued identification. You then can have results mailed to WRSA (Suite 305, 100-1300 18th Street Bdn R7A 6X7)

Note: the fee for a CRC through Brandon Police is $40.75
Communities outside of Brandon

1. Visit your local RCMP detachment to fill out the required forms. You must bring 2 pieces of government ID, 1 with your current address and 1 photo ID.
2. You can have the results mailed to WRSA (Suite 305, 100-1300 18th Street Bdn R7A 6X7).

Note: as the CRC is for volunteer work the RCMP waive the federal processing fee, however, there may still be a local fee depending on the detachment.
